I Update Myself [26 Jan 2008|12:19pm] Well, a long time I haven't written here. I've been pretty busy but I read every day all my friend's pages.... your lives are way more interesting than mine but hey.... I read them! I got accepted to go to Megacon representing Ringling College of Art and Design with other 9 people with teachers. Exciting! I'll be drawing another weekend with other people and teachers. I'm happy. So Independence it was For Us. [20 Jul 2007|12:13am] Today we received independence thanks to a bowl of flowers and the situation that were taken place in consequence of the dilemma of the bouquet that made a couple of Spaniards and Criollos a little pissed off. But hey, what about the battle of the 7th of August and the sacrifices that many patriotic figures sacrificed for our country? No, let us remember the bouquet- that's how we will be remembered. That's how we got our independence that lead to five years of disorder and led plans to re-conquer our lands to the Spaniards but that was stopped and we long forgot to care about these things. We are an independent land! yes yes. With Guerrillas and Paramilitary groups that fight for idealisms that well... who trully believe them really? I celebrate the independence of my country not by posting flowers, a geographical map or a random googleed picture of Simon Bolivar (Chavez has really has used your name so many ways, and I am very sorry about that since I know you're jumping in your grave because of it). I will post a figure that has came back to my memory of my childhood. A great man that simply changed the way information can be delivered to achieve a mission. Happy Colombian Independence Day, Jaime Garzón- RIP. You showed me for the first time, the goods and bads of what a true Colombian lives. post comment
